Meet Your Therapist
Hey there. I’m Rachel Gibbon LICSW - the clinician behind Threshold Psychotherapy. When starting Threshold, I consciously created a space grounded in the understanding that women experience the world—and ourselves—differently. Women’s brains, emotional landscapes, and ways of relating are deeply shaped by connection. We don’t just value connection—we grow through and toward it.
When connection is disrupted, it can affect our sense of identity, safety, and belonging in profound ways. These experiences deserve to be met with care, nuance, and respect.
Threshold was born from a recognition that many women aren’t always met in this way in traditional therapeutic spaces. My work is rooted in specialized training and a commitment to engaging in thoughtful, meaningful conversations with women—conversations that honor your perspective, your relationships, and your inner world.
I have over 10 years of experience working with women across the lifespan (18+) who struggle with feelings of isolation and exclusion, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, grief and loss, trauma, relationship challenges, and questions around identity - particularly during times of transition (post-partum, perimenopause, menopause). If you are feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of your place - I get it. I invite you to reach out for a conversation with me. I would love to work with you!
